Digital Print Graphics Application Instructions
Prior to applying the Gymarx Digital Print Decals, apply minimum one coat of sealer and one coat of preferred finish.
It is very important to get the floor surface as smooth & dirt free as possible. This will create a much better bond of the decal to the floor and makes for a nicer look. Any dirt that gets trapped between the floor and the decal allows a small air pocket to form around the dirt, thereby magnifying it some.
Gymarx Digital Print Decals have been coated so that the finish will adhere. After applied to the floor, this coating should be abraded by hand with a red 3M pad or something similar, as though it was a painted graphic. THIS STEP IS CRITICAL to achieve a long lasting bond with the finish.
After the graphics have been applied and abraded, apply a minimum of one coat of oil based finish or two coats of waterborne finish. Encapsulating the decals edges is crucial.
